Should I use first-person or second-person affirmations?

Research suggests that second-person affirmations work better than first-person affirmations. So start with "You are..." type of affirmations and if these aren't working, consider the "I am..." style.

We've read that if you are a particularly rebellious type, you might take umbrage with someone telling you what to do, and therefore might respond better with first-person!
